Coronavirus update

Due to COVID-19 Regulations we will only take pitch bookings on a restricted basis.

• Bookings are for full pitch or half pitch only.
• Changing and toilet facilities are not available.
• Bookings are for one hour time slots on the hour only.
• Bookings will be accepted from registered clubs only.
• Clubs may access the facility 5 minutes after the start time of their confirmed booking and not until the previous users have left the facility.
• Clubs must leave the facility 5 minutes before the end time of their confirmed booking.
• Clubs must confirm that they have COVID-19 policies and procedures in place which fully comply with current Northern Ireland Executive and the National Governing Body of Sport guidance.
• Clubs must provide the name and contact details for the “COVID Officer” - for example, a person who is responsible for making sure that all activities are carried out in accordance with the club’s COVID-19 policies and procedures.

How to book

To book a pitch or sports facility, please complete the online Pitch Booking Enquiry form and a member of our Pitches Team will contact you directly to confirm your request.

Your booking is not confirmed until you receive written or email booking confirmation from Belfast City Council Pitches Admin Team.

You can also contact our team by emailing pitches@belfastcity.gov.uk for your Pitch booking form. 

Completed forms can be returned to the pitches@belfastcity.gov.uk or posted to Pitches Admin Team,

You must submit your booking request at least 2 full working days before you intend to use the facilities.

Payment

Bookings are to be paid in full on or before the day of play via debit or credit card or cheque. 

If you have an invoice account set up, you will receive an invoice monthly and must pay within 30 days of issue. If your club or organisation would like to be considered for invoice facilities, or payment using direct debit, please complete the application form and send a hard copy for the attention of:

These forms must have original signatures; scanned copies or electronic signatures will not be accepted. 

Pay by invoice

If you have a general pitch enquiry, or wish to make a credit or debit card payment please call the Pitches Admin Team on 028 9027 0684, but please note we cannot accept bookings or cancellations over the phone.

Cancellations and pitches hotline

To cancel a booking, email pitches@belfastcity.gov.uk 

• Cancellations or amendments to bookings are to be submitted with at least two full working days’ notice.

• The Pitches Hotline is updated by 12 noon on Fridays and on Saturday mornings if necessary.

Please do not contact our Bookings Line for information relating to League bookings. Please contact the League Secretary directly.

More information

Requests for pitch bookings must be submitted a minimum of two full working days prior to the date required. For example, a booking required for a Friday (either 12 noon or 6pm) must be made by the Tuesday before and no later than 5pm.

Please note that Saturday and Sunday, and public holidays are not considered as working days for the purposes of booking. A request for a booking on a Monday must be made by the Wednesday of the previous week before 5pm.

We’re unable to accept any booking requests if the minimum notice isn’t provided.

Confirmation of fixtures where pitches have already been allocated to a league, must be submitted in full, on the agreed fixtures template, by 12 noon on the Wednesday before for weekend fixtures, and by 12 noon on the Friday for the following midweek fixtures. We will be unable to accept bookings received after these deadlines.
