If you want to apply for a road closure, please find out if you need to apply for a road closure and how to apply for a road closure.
We need a road closure application to be made with plenty of time left before the event so we can publically advertise it.
Applications are published in appropriate local newspapers on a rotation basis, and also added to our current applications.
We must then allow a 21 day period for representations to be submitted and to be determined by the council.
All of the current road closure applications are also available for you to view at our public office on the ground floor of the Cecil Ward Building, 4-10 Linenhall Street Belfast BT2 8BP. In addition, we publish all road closure applications in local newspapers.
Written comments on the applications listed below should be submitted by email, post, or in person within 21 days of the date advertised.

If you wish to object to or support any proposed road closure you need to make a submission to us in writing, within 21 days of the publication of the notice in a local newspaper and on this website, that is we must receive it before the objection deadline date given in the table above. You must outline your reasons for objecting or supporting the road closure.
