  • Creative Communities

Creative Communities is a cross-community project that aims to bring people together through arts and heritage. Eight artists or historians-in-residence are working with eight communities, running regular workshops. It will finish by autumn 2021 with a showcase event.

    It aims to:

    • help people feel part of their community
    • help people deal positively with diversity and difference
    • make people more tolerant of people from different communities, and
    • increase respect for other cultures.

The project is part of Belfast’s PEACE IV Action Plan, financed through the European Union and managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).

  • Strengthening the Sector

Strengthening the Sector programmes aim to help Belfast’s cultural organisations enhance their business performance and boost their income.

    There are two current programmes:

    Resilience Programme

Created by Arts Council NI and supported by us, this is a mentor-led programme which offers bespoke and tailored guidance to senior staff of Belfast’s large cultural organisations.

There are currently 14 organisations taking part in this programme.

    Creating Futures

This is an accredited bespoke leadership programme for small to medium sized arts organisations in Belfast focusing on change management, innovation, sustainability, and rethinking business strategy. We created this programme with Arts & Business NI, and it is delivered by Ulster University Business School.
