Sometimes it is difficult for us to collect bins and boxes when parked cars or other vehicles block our access to streets.
We are working with the Police Service of Northern Ireland and the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) on 'Difficult to Access Streets'. This is a campaign designed to confront parking problems that stop us from providing efficient bin collection services in Belfast.

Our campaign with DfI and the PSNI will run for 18 months in certain Belfast streets. The campaign will remind residents and drivers of parked vehicles about parking laws.
We are taking action against illegal and inappropriate parking that prevents our waste collection vehicles doing their job.
We checked data that showed the streets where our vehicles have ongoing access issues. Based on this data, for the campaign we selected streets in:
During the campaign, we will contact residents in these areas by post, use social media posts and place advice notices on vehicle windscreens.
