Andersonstown regeneration

  • Current status

    Coronavirus (COVID-19) update

Due to coronavirus (COVID-19), construction is paused at Andersonstown Leisure Centre.

Construction is almost complete at the £25 million state-of-the-art facility. The decision on opening the centre will depend on government guidance for coronavirus (COVID-19).

During the pandemic, health workers are using the shower and changing facilities at the centre.

  • Unique selling point

Following community consultation and advice from industry experts, we have taken the decision that the new centre will focus largely on water-based fun for families.

The centre will also have dry facilities such as state-of-the-art fitness suite and studios.

    The agreed facilities are:

    • large family fun focused area of leisure water
    • 25m six lane pool with 50 spectator seats
    • learner pool
    • confidence water for small children and toddlers
    • 140 station fitness suite
    • exercise studios
    • spin studio
    • cafĂ©
    • multipurpose room
    • two outdoor 3G five-a-side pitches
