Belfast Zoo challenges you to get creative this Christmas

Date: 26 November 2020

The European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) runs from 21 until 29 November. As part of this initiative, we want you to create your own homemade decorations from recycled materials and enter our competition.

Instead of buying new ornaments and decorations, why not have a go and make some out of recycled materials? You could make a wreath out of toilet paper rolls, a snowman out of cardboard boxes and some paints or how about some home-made Christmas crackers?

We would like to encourage everyone to have a go and see what they can come up with - the more inventive the better!
There are two ag- categories:

  • 10 years old and under
  • 11 years old and over

The winners will be sent a Belfast Zoo goodie bag each. Who will be crowned the recycled Christmas decoration champion? Enter today by sending us your photo on our Facebook page or email events@belfastzoo.co.uk We will share a selection of some of the most creative entries before announcing the winners on Wednesday 23 December!
