Belfast faces challenges of homelessness, addiction and antisocial behaviour.
We’re working with agencies across the statutory, voluntary and community sectors on a joint approach to tackling these issues.
The Complex Lives programme supports some of our city’s most vulnerable people to help break the cycle of chronic homelessness and is already making a difference. It recognises a person’s individual needs, focuses on providing stability and offers a dedicated point of contact, who can oversee someone throughout their journey, whatever their circumstances.
For more information about Complex Lives, email complexlives@belfastcity.gov.uk.
If you’re concerned about criminal damage, drug use or drug dealing, hate crime or other forms of criminal activity in Belfast city centre or your local area, contact the PSNI on 101 (non-emergency calls) or 999 in an emergency.
If you are homeless, likely to become homeless or worried about someone who is homeless, help and advice is available from the NI Housing Executive, as well as range of voluntary and community organisations. Read more about homelessness.
For help and support with addiction issues, you can find useful information and signposting to mental and physical health services in Belfast at nidirect (link opens in new window)
We have antisocial behaviour officers and neighbourhood officers who can support with a range of other issues.
