Heritage Day at Clifton House

Date: Sunday 1 September, 12 noon to 5pm

Venue: Clifton House

""

This year marks the 250th anniversary of Clifton House. First opening its doors in 1774, Clifton House is the oldest working building in Belfast. Heritage Day on 1 September is the flagship event in the venue’s anniversary calendar.

This is a free event that is suitable for all ages. The house and grounds of Clifton House will be animated with lots to see, make, and do including:

  • heritage skills and craft demonstrations
  • craft fair
  • local food
  • traditional children’s games, including a treasure hunt
  • live music
  • a history harvest to share stories, memories and artefacts of North Belfast
  • stories from the past 250 years all about the house, once the Poorhouse of Belfast

Parking at Clifton House will be limited to disabled parking only on the day. We encourage the use of public transport. Or, there is free on-street parking and paid car parks in the local area.
